Having walked away with four Grammy Awards this year, including Best Rock Album for their 2000 LP, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, U2 are intent on moving ahead once again. Less than a month after its decisive Grammy victory, the group re-entered the studio to work on its next album, the band’s manager Paul McGuinness said in a statement Wednesday.
“U2 would like to clarify that, contrary to certain speculation in the press, they will be neither touring Europe this summer, nor splitting up,” McGuinness said. “Instead, they are spending time in the studio working on new material for a possible release later this year.”
