The Early November Calls it Quits

LOS ANGELES, CA – Drive-Thru Records recording artist THE EARLY NOVEMBER has announced that upon completion of the current tour dates, the band will go on an indefinite hiatus. In a statement issued by the band, the reasons for the hiatus are not the result of disparity amongst the band members. Simply, “As we grow older, priorities change. We have to be where we haven’t been in the past six years; with our friends, family, and loved ones.” The band members also extended their enormous gratitude to all the fans and music lovers that have supported them over the years. THE EARLY NOVEMBER accomplished much as a band and for the Drive-Thru label. Their first full-length album, The Room’s Too Cold debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers chart at the Number 1 position in 2003. The group’s follow-up The Mother, The Mechanic and The Path debuted at Number 31 on Billboard’s Top 200, making it the highest debut for Drive-Thru Records at the time. Those two full-length titles along with an acoustic and plugged in EP, All Of This, THE EARLY NOVEMBER has a combined sales history of 400K albums sold. Label co-owner Richard Reines offered this statement: “It’s always sad to see a great band take a break, but there is nothing you can do to convince a band they should stay together. If you did, there would be no passion left and they would be doing it for the wrong reasons, and that’s not what The Early November or Drive-Thru Records is about. When/if they feel it’s right, we are ready to release another CD. They will always have our support.” THE EARLY NOVEMBER Tour Dates: w/The Rocket Summer, Melee, The Verdict
