The Aces are back and on fire with their new single, “Twin Flame.” From their forthcoming album, Gold Star Baby, out everywhere on August 15 via SoundOn, the song intertwines dance-inducing disco grooves with Latin pop sonics to craft a tune that is simply divine. Frankly, The Aces constantly push the envelope for the indie pop genre with every release. Cristal Ramirez sings, “Our connection puts the new ones to shame, oh no/How could I forget all our history?/Starting from scratch feels like my arm twisting, oh no/It’s bad news, I know/I can’t put out our twin flame.”
The band shares, “‘Twin Flame’ is about that tortuous in-between of not wanting to let go, but knowing you need to. This song also has a strong Latin influence, from the guitar line to the bridge in Spanish. With half of us being Latina, we really wanted to express that part of who we are through this song.”
