The Academy Is… is offering an exciting new look into their forthcoming record, Almost There, with the arrival of their new single, “Miracle.” Preceded by “2005,” the singles appear on the LP set for release on March 27, via I Surrender Records. This marks their first full record release since 2008’s Fast Times At Barrington High.
Guitarist Mike Carden notes, “With this track, we were chasing the feeling of when you discovered your new favorite song. ‘Miracle’ reminds us of LimeWire era vibes; finally finding that song that takes you by surprise, a very distinct feeling. We wanted it to hit and pull you straight in. We feel like…mission accomplished.”
The release is both remarkable and nostalgia-inducing, which will entice life-long fans and new listeners alike.
Of the forthcoming new record, frontman William Beckett explains, “Almost Here was the beginning. Almost There is the reflection. It’s about checking in with who you thought you’d be twenty years later, seeing what changed, what stuck, and what still feels like home.”
