Spanish Love Songs just unleashed their new EP, A Brief Intermission In The Flattening Of Time, and it features some amazing cameos. Across the four tracks, listeners can enjoy Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years, Kevin Devine, illuminati hotties, and Tigers Jaw, too.

Vocalist Dylan Slocum notes, “The title of this collection is literal for me. I use songs and studio time as a way to slow down and try to process what and how I’m feeling —each song is an imperfect snapshot of a moment.”

Slocum adds, “We also knew that we wanted to release an EP this year while writing the new record, and that we wanted it to be its own thing, its own cul-de-sac of whatever career we’re building, half-informed by what came before and half-informed by what we think is coming next.”

Speaking on the focus track, “Lifers Too,” Slocum shares, “Soupy was the first choice to feature on this song and the first idea for the EP in general. Very few people have championed us as much as he has over the past 5 years, and I’m forever grateful that he’s become a friend, and more importantly, someone whose work pushes me to try to be better.”

Additionally, Campbell says, “I love this song and I love this band. I don’t think I’ve ever said yes to a feature so quickly. The way that Dylan and Spanish Love Songs capture the decay at the heart of the American facade is singular and haunting and I’m honored to lend my voice to it.”
