We’re feeling all kinds of blue…for all the best reasons: the world premiere of Smurfs: The Lost Village is taking place tomorrow, and it’s safe to say we’re all excited. But there’s one city that’s taking their excitement to the next level—Culver City will be declared America’s Official Smurfs Village, hosting the city’s first-ever world premiere. Culver City is the home of Sony Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation, and in celebration of its history and the movie premiere, a street will even be renamed after our favorite blue heroes.
The theme of the premiere is “Give Back to Your Village”, which reflects the Smurfs’ timeless messages of peace and living in harmony, and to echo the sentiment, Sony Pictures Animation are making a donation to the Culver City Department of Parks and Recreation. The premiere will be attended by the cast, including Demi Lovato, Joe Manganiello, Ariel Winter, and Meghan Trainor. Be sure to book your tickets to catch the new movie, and refresh your excitement with the trailer below.
