Shaggy Kicks Off A Joint-Backstreet Boys North American Tour

Haven’t seen Shaggy perform his smash single, “Angel,” yet? You can this coming Sunday night, June 10, on ABC-TV at 7 p.m. when the reggae pop star joins Sugar Ray, Dream, BBMak and Baha Men on the “Walt Disney World Summer Jam Concert” special.

For his appearance on the “Summer Jam Concert,” Shaggy taped his performance at the Walt Disney World Resort earlier today, during a visit to Orlando to kick off a summer North American tour with the Backstreet Boys that begins this Friday.

This year’s Jam-packed hour of entertainment and fun was filmed at three exotic ports of call – the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, onboard the Disney Wonder cruise ship in the Bahamas, and from Disney’s newest theme park, Disney’s California Adventure – and features each musical guest providing tips on ‘What’s Hot to do This Summer.’

It’s been quite a year for Shaggy and his fans: the phenomenal album that firmly established the Jamaican-born performer as a master of many styles, from reggae and dancehall to pop/R&B, has spent most of the last 42 consecutive weeks on Billboard’s “Top 15 Pop Albums” chart, including as #1. And, just this week, “Angel” debuted at the top of the U.K. charts, with first-week sales of 178,000 copies.

So throw on your flip flops and grab a glass of lemonade for a sizzling hour of non-stop entertainment on television – featuring five of the hottest recording artists on the charts today – when the “Walt Disney World Summer Jam Concert” airs on ABC-TV this Sunday, June 10, at 7 p.m.
