They share the same management and have played together in the past, but those who placed their bets on Sevendust to open for Creed’s winter tour came away empty-handed. While that doesn’t mean the two bands won’t hit the road later in the year, for now Sevendust have lined up seven headlining shows, with more to be announced soon.
The tour will begin on January 26 in Royal Oak, Michigan, at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. From there, Sevendust will play New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom and over the next three days they’ll hit Boston, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. After a week off, they’ll continue with shows in Chicago on February 8 and Milwaukee the next day.
Supporting acts for the shows have yet to be announced.
The band will be touring behind its third album, Animosity, which came out November 13. A video for the first single, “Praise,” was shot in Orlando, Florida, by Glen Bennett (Missy Elliott, Drowning Pool). Sevendust have yet to decide on the album’s second single.
