Set It Off just offered a new song, “Pathological,” from their forthcoming self-titled LP, due out on November 7. The project marks their first independent release.
Frontman Cody Carson says, “It’s unfortunate…the number of people I’ve come across in my lifetime that feel the need to make stuff up all the time because they feel like their current life isn’t exciting enough. At first, they seem like little white lies that just embellish somebody’s stories, but as they get away with it, they realize they can lie all the time.”
He adds, “Then, it gets out of hand, because it always does, and it ruins their life. This song is my response to the handful of people I’ve met who took advantage of my kindness in order to get ahead. I don’t have to name names, because everybody else already knows.”
