Record labels interested in learning the secrets for creating a buzz on the Internet should plan to attend one of MP3.com’s upcoming free “Promote Your Music” events. The events on February 8 and 22 will take place at company headquarters in San Diego from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM. To register for either event, visit www.mp3.com/events.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to unleash the power of the Internet in efforts to generate additional money on top of existing CD sales, capture the largest audience possible, maximize back catalog sales, and obtain free promotion online.
“We are excited to provide labels big and small with the tools to create buzz online, break new bands, and tap into potential new revenue sources,” said Rick Walker, vice president and head of label marketing and promotion at MP3.com. “Any label looking to cash in on back catalogs and increase awareness of new CD releases will benefit greatly from the innovative strategies our industry experts will demonstrate.”
The “Promote Your Music” events will also focus on how record labels can utilize the Internet to license their music for television and film placement, gain exposure for artists in business establishments, and promote concerts and events online.
