Riot Fest will celebrate its 20th anniversary this summer with a stacked return to Douglass Park in Chicago, running September 19–21. The milestone weekend will be headlined by blink-182, Weezer, and Green Day, each anchoring a different day. blink-182 kicks things off Friday, Weezer takes the stage Saturday for a full-album performance of The Blue Album, and Green Day will bring the celebration to a close on Sunday.
Ahead of the 2005 Riot Fest launch, twenty years ago, festival founder Michael Petryshyn had shared, “I just wanted to put a show together with all of my favorite bands.” And the 2025 lineup feels like just that.
“We didn’t plan on making it for twenty years,” ‘Riot Mike’ shares ahead of this year’s event. “We planned on making it through one weekend. But here we are—still loud, still weird, still building something bigger than we ever meant to.”
Over 90 artists will storm the Riot Fest stages throughout the three-day celebration. In addition to its trio of iconic headliners, Riot Fest 2025 will feature a powerhouse lineup including the Sex Pistols with Frank Carter, Jack White, IDLES, Chicago staples Alkaline Trio and The Academy Is…, Rilo Kiley, Knocked Loose, Jawbreaker, Bad Religion, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes, The Wonder Years, L.S. Dunes, Meet Me @ The Altar, Honey Revenge, and dozens more.
