Ahead of the December 21 winter solstice, Pinkshift dropped a haunting, and seasonally appropriate surprise song, “Snow,” out via Hopeless Records. Preceded by their new album Earthkeeper, the Baltimore-based trio offers ethereal vocals, acoustic strums, and glowing flute sonics on the track—a departure from their pure punk singles.
The band says on Instagram, “Last song of the year. This one is special and a little different. The flies in the sky were the mosquitoes that were buzzing around my ears when I was trying to fall asleep at my grandmother’s old apartment. I wondered who they were and what they were trying to tell me. First pic is from our band ice skating date.”
