Phish will eschew an extensive fall North American tour in favor of an eight-show run, which will include a New Year’s Eve show at American Airlines Arena in Miami. The outing will also play host to Phish’s 20th anniversary concert, set for Dec. 2 at Boston’s FleetCenter.
Additional stops on the tour include Uniondale, N.Y. (Nov. 28), Philadelphia (Nov. 29), Albany, N.Y. (Dec. 1) and three additional shows in Miami (Dec. 28-30). A select amount of tickets will be available through Phish’s own online ticketing system on Monday (Sept. 22), through Sept. 29. Tickets go on-sale to the general public on Oct. 17-18.
Phish has been off the road since wrapping its summer tour in early August with the weekend-long concert extravaganza It. As previously reported, bassist Mike Gordon and keyboardist Page McConnell will both tour separately this fall; Gordon as a solo act and McConnell with his side band Vida Blue.
Drummer Jon Fishman will also play six shows next month with the Jazz Mandolin Project. As for guitarist Trey Anastasio, he appears on Dave Matthews’ upcoming solo debut, “Some Devil,” due Sept. 23 via RCA.
