Plans to re-release Paris Hilton’s debut album, simply titled “Paris” have been canned after a lacklustre response from retailers.
Her record label Warner Brothers had planned to re-release the set to capitalise on the remarkable publicity generated by her jail sentence this month – a result of her breaking the order of a driving probation – but it seems the pop-lite set is unlikely to be appearing anytime soon at record shops across the country.
Released on the back of the single “Stars Are Blind”, the record hit a high of No. 6 on the Billboard album chart but quickly disappeared down the rankings after just six weeks. a Warner Bros. executive stated last week “We are not expecting any new Paris Hilton material in the foreseeable future.”
