Reading & Leeds just dropped their dazzling lineup for their 2025 festival, which includes headlining sets from Hozier, Chappell Roan, Travis Scott, and Bring Me The Horizon. In fact, Oli Sykes caught up with NME to chat about the fest and confirmed with the news outlet that Bring Me The Horizon will be taking a major break in 2025. Honestly, well-deserved.

Sykes shared, “We need time to recharge our batteries and have that time away, because we haven’t. The last time we stopped was when we were forced to for lockdown. Even then, we were still going and making stuff. It doesn’t feel like the band has had a significant amount of time off. It’s going to get to a point where it starts to affect the band and its creativity.”

In fact, the singer noted that he was “just so fried from ‘Nex Gen’” and wants to let the project breathe.

Finally, he said, “I want the next [album] to be a complete new era aesthetically, sonically, and in every respect. It’s important that we let Bring Me The Horizon go away for a bit.”

So, though there will likely be no tour or new music coming soon, the time to rest is vital for the next era to blossom…whenever it arrives. Check out Sykes’ full chat here.

Even though there won’t be an upcoming headlining tour, you can still catch Bring Me The Horizon at a few upcoming music festivals. Check out their forthcoming performance dates below and grab tickets here.
