New York – Out with the old, in with the new: Nickelback has a new drummer.
Daniel Adair will take the sticks for the band, Nickelback announced Friday. The former 3 Doors Down drummer replaces Ryan Vikedal, who departed in late January.
“We are thrilled to have Daniel in the band and excited about the creativity that is going on between the four of us in the studio,” singer Chad Kroeger said in a statement.
Nickelback received a Grammy nomination earlier this year for best hard rock performance on “Feelin’ Way Too Damn Good” from the album “The Long Road.”
The Vancouver-based band rose to acclaim with song such as “How Your Remind Me” and “Too Bad.” They expect to release a new album this summer.
