Netflix is looking to steal our hearts all over again with their upcoming film, Always Be My Maybe. Starring an actual A-team of Ali Wong, Randall Park, Keanu Reeves, and Daniel Dae Kim, the movie follows two childhood sweethearts who reconnect as adults. Sasha (Wong) is now a celebrity chef opening a restaurant in San Francisco and Marcus (Park) is a musician still living at home—when their two totally different worlds collide can they make it?
Always Be My Maybe just started filming this week in Vancouver with a release date of 2019. Nahnatchka Khan is directing and both Wong and Park are writers along with Michael Golamco, so you know you’re in for one hell of a ride with so many laughs along the way. The rest of the cast lineup is just as stellar: Michelle Buteau, Vivian Bang, Karan Soni, Charlyne Yi, James Saito, Lyrics Born, and Susan Park. Yup, this is has got all the makings of your next fave flick. Stay tuned for more details on Always Be My Maybe—and hey, Netflix, can 2019 get here already?
