It’s the fall of new releases for Nelly Furtado. Not only will the Grammy Award-winning singer release her second album, but she and her longtime boyfriend are expecting their first child in September. Two months later on November 25, the singer releases Fresh Off The Boat, the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to her multi-platinum selling debut album Whoa, Nelly!.
Billboard reports the first single to be released from Fresh Off The Boat is expected to be “Powerless.” The singer’s label hopes to get the track out by the end of the summer.
Fresh Off The Boat is being recorded in Los Angeles and Toronto. The set features a guest appearance from Mike Einziger of Incubus.
Furtado took home the Grammy Award for best female pop vocal performance for “I’m Like A Bird” in 2002.
