As By All Means continues to gain traction at commercial alternative and specialty radio (with recent adds at WEBX in Champagne IL, WSFM in Wilmington, NC and WHHZ in Gainesville, FL, plus spins on Detroit’s CIMX and more) National Product is busy loading up their tour bus for a string of dates starting Feb 7 with Just Surrender, Lorene Drive and Farewell.
On March 1, National Product will open for a newly-reunited Slick Shoes at Anaheim, CA’s Chain Reaction, followed by dates with Ivoryline and Breathe Carolina . On March 14th the band will share the stage with Scary Kids Scaring Kids, The Audition and others at the South by So What Festival in Plano, TX. In other NP news, www.Eventful.com, the leading global events Web site, has joined forces with the band to give fans the power to influence their upcoming Let the Night Fall Tour. National Product will be using Eventful Demand to let their loyal fans compete to win a spot on the tour schedule.
Eventful Demand enables fans to influence where their favorite artists perform by creating grass-roots campaigns to “Demand” the artists to come to their town. Tens of thousands of artists, comedians and even politicians are using Eventful Demand to connect with their fans and empower them to shape their tour. Eventful Demand is quickly becoming a phenomenon in the music and entertainment industry.
“We’re excited to play in the cities that want us the most. Our fans have been very supportive over the years, and we’re happy to be giving them a voice in where we tour. Much thanks goes out to Eventful for showing their support and putting this on,” said Danny Casler with National Product.
Launched Wednesday, January 30, 2008, the Demand competition will continue through 2:00pm PT on March 21, 2008 on Eventful.com.
“We love helping build stronger connections between fans and artists by enabling fans to influence where their favorite performers tour,” said Jordan Glazier, CEO of Eventful. “We’re excited to help National Product shape their tour based on the voice of their fans.”
Along with MySpace, YouTube and iTunes, Eventful is an essential part of the online marketing toolkit for performers and artists. Eventful is transforming the way that tours get routed by empowering fans to influence the tours of their favorite performers and by enabling performers to make the best decisions about where to tour.
Fans can join the competition and Demand a performance from National Product by visiting www.eventful.com/nationalproduct or www.myspace.com/nationalproduct.
