There’s electricity in the air—and no amount of smudged eyeliner or fingerless gloves can contain it. Emo icons My Chemical Romance just did what we’ve all been worshipping at our altars for. On the first night of their two-night takeover at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, July 26, 2025, the band debuted a never-before-heard song—one that predates their 2013 breakup. This is not a drill, and we are not o-fucking-kay!
After performing The Black Parade in full—a spectacle already monumental in its own right—the band unveiled a brand new track titled “War Beneath The Rain.” It marked their first unreleased song performed live since the 2022 single “Foundations Of Decay” debut.
Whether this is a long-lost cut from the elusive MCR5 album that never surfaced or a discarded gem from one of the band’s other album cycles, we may never know. Or perhaps a new sign of life from the studio altogether?
