On November 25, mgk, formerly Machine Gun Kelly, took to social media to share that he’s on his way to creating a new album. This will follow up the artist’s 2022 record and sixth studio album Mainstream Sellout.
In a Twitter/X post, he noted, “[I]solating myself in the desert next week to restart this album from scratch. [W]hen inspiration flows through me unblocked, we will reach the destination in no time. [D]on’t worry. [A]fter all, I’m about to be a dad again!”
ICYMI, mgk’s partner Megan Fox announced the duo’s pregnancy on November 11 to the excitement of fans worldwide. On Instagram, she revealed a positive pregnancy test and shared a unique baby bump photo, too. While the celebrities have not confirmed when they’re expecting, some experts believe that their due date will likely occur somewhere around March 2025.
Additionally, mgk has mixed up genres in the past, moving from rap to punk-rock sonics in his career. It’s quite possible that the new record could include a tinge of country. After all, the artist recently released not one, but two singles with Jelly Roll. The duo launched a soulful piano ballad “Time Of Day” in October 2024 and the twangy, acoustic guitar-enriched “Lonely Road” in July 2024.
