Following their dazzling tour with Neck Deep and The Home Team, Bay Area emo act Like Roses is back with their new single “Stuck.”
The band shares, “This song is about the nagging emptiness that follows loss. You can take the pictures down, you can put the memories away in a drawer, but it’s not just that the room feels empty; you’re empty too.”
Coming up in January, you can catch Like Roses at the 8123 Fest kick-off party with Sorry X, Maeby, and Charlotte Sands. Grab your tickets here and find out more about 8123 Fest here.

“Stuck” Lyrics:
Stuck in this room again, in the same clothes, haven’t got changed
‘Cause when I look around at all the space you used to take
I know that you moved on, and I don’t wish that things had changed
I’ve just been feeling down, I know you don’t feel the same
All forward progress is grinding to a halt
I know the issues were really both our fault
Now we can’t take back the things we already said
I feel your distance, but I’m not breathing yet
Stuck in this room again, a memory I can’t erase
‘Cause when I look around at all the space you used to take
I know that you moved on, and I don’t wish that things had changed
I’ve just been feeling down, I know you don’t feel the same
I know you listened, but I don’t think you’re sure
I tried to call you, but I know you won’t return it
She must be next to you, while I can’t find the words
My head is spinning, this only makes it worse
Stuck in this room again, with the same sad song on replay
I’ve never felt so sick, everything lost and nothing gained
I am spiraling out, and I wonder where you are today
I should just shut my mouth, there’s nothing left for me to say
Stuck in this room again, a memory I can’t erase
‘Cause when I look around at all the space you used to take
I know that you moved on, and I don’t wish that things had changed
I’ve just been feeling down, I know you don’t feel the same
