Kid Rock is a man with simple tastes. Cable television’s Burly Bear Network, dedicated to college audiences ages 18 to 24, asked the rock-rapper what keeps him grounded and the answer wasn’t complicated.
“I don’t really have any secrets, just that some things you can’t change, and you are who you are and I just try to be that person and I guess that’s my words of wisdom, if that equals wisdom in any way,” he said.
“You know, when I started I liked Big Macs and Budweiser and I still like Big Macs and Budweiser. I am happy to make money. I want to make more money, make more music, eat Big Macs and drink Budweisers.”
The episode on Burly Bear Network’s “AV Squad” show, which was videotaped recently, will air Feb. 21 on TBS.
Kid Rock, 31, was also asked about life these days.
“It’s a very fun stage of my life, but I’m actually looking forward to getting old, getting bald, getting fat, sitting around talking garbage all day, telling the kids what it’s all about, you know kicking back and enjoying life.”
Burly Bear Network reaches more than 3.5 million students at over 420 universities. It is also carried on TBS and through broadband Web distribution.
