Johnnie Guilbert and Sueco came together to maximize their joint slay with the new track, “Right Girl, Wrong Time.”
The music video follows the singers through a Catholic church. Sueco even performs his part as a priest from the pulpit as Guilbert follows a faceless woman up to the roof of the church. At the end, the person is revealed to be Guilbert’s real-life partner, Grace Van Dien, aka Chrissy Cunningham from Stranger Things.
Coming up soon, you can catch Guilbert in the UK on May 7 and 8, and in Chicago on May 10. Grab concert tickets here.
“Right Girl, Wrong Time” Lyrics:
She’s what keeps this heart alive
The one I see when I close my eyes
I know it’s my fault our cars collided
Girl, it’s you and I, and I, and I
Yes, I’m either going on or it’s nothing
And she gives me feelings that I can barely stomach
Is this just too good to be true?
I shouldn’t trust it cause every time they leave
Maybe she’s the right girl at the wrong time
Wish that I could go back, hit the rewind
She could be my Snow White, but I’m snow blind
It’s a premonition, I guess, I know I should’ve said yes
God, I was so dumb, hitting decline
Wish that I could go back, hit the rewind
Maybe she’s the right girl at the wrong time
It’s a premonition, I guess, I know I should’ve said yes

I confess
She’s my fix, activist, I’m addicted
My heart is ripped, torn to bits, and she’s stitched it
I can’t commit, but for this, I’ma risk it
Cause maybe this time it’ll change
Cause I’m either going all in or it’s nothing
And she gives me feelings that I can barely stomach
Is this just too good to be true?
I shouldn’t trust it cause every time they leave
Maybe she’s the right girl at the wrong time
Wish that I could go back, hit the rewind
She could be my Snow White, but I’m snow blind
It’s a premonition, I guess, I know I should’ve said yes
God, I was so dumb, hitting decline
Wish that I could go back, hit the rewind
Maybe she’s the right girl at the wrong time
It’s a premonition, I guess, I know I should’ve said yes
I confess
Kiss every time they leave
Maybe she’s the right girl at the wrong time
It’s a premonition, I guess, I know I should’ve said yes
I confess
