Red-hot actor Jack Black says he’s the man to play Ozzy Osbourne in the long-awaited film version of the metal legend’s life, according to the New York Post. In fact, Black made the case to Sharon Osbourne herself on her talk show this past Friday (October 10), telling Ozzy’s wife that her husband “was a hero of mine as a kid and I have to say, I’ve been tracking the Ozzy film…if anyone’s Ozzy, I’m Ozzy.” Both Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell have been mentioned as possible actors to play Ozzy.
Jack Black’s new movie, School Of Rock, debuted at Number One at the box office on the weekend of October 3, earning more than $20 million.
Ozzy, along with several other stars, will perform at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall on October 15, for Fashion Rocks For The Prince’s Trust. All proceeds from the event go to the Prince’s Trust, England’s leading charity for young people.
Osbourne and his daughter Kelly will perform their rendition of Black Sabbath’s “Changes” on an upcoming episode of the Sharon Osbourne Show. The duet appears on the new edition of Kelly’s 2002 debut album Shut Up, which has been re-released by Sanctuary Records. The disk was originally released by Epic Records, who dropped Kelly late last year.
