The force is strong with J.J. Abrams—he’s returning to finish off the latest Star Wars sequel trilogy as writer and director of Star Wars: Episode IX! The upcoming movie will be co-written by Abrams and Chris Terrio, and produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, and Abrams, along with Bad Robot, and Lucasfilm.
The critically acclaimed director ushered in the new era of Star Wars with The Force Awakens back in 2015, and we’re looking forward to seeing where the he’ll take the trilogy in its final hours. Star Wars: Episode IX’s release date has been pushed back until December 20, 2019…anybody have a time machine we can borrow?
