In Her Own Words is back with the release of their new EP Left In The Dark via Thriller Records, which includes singles such as “Story Of Us” and “House Party.”
The duo took to Instagram to share a little bit more about the release. “The album captures the emotional confusion of navigating complex relationships, highlighting themes of heartbreak, longing, and the struggle to let go,” they said. “Each song reflects a cycle of attachment and regret, exploring moments of vulnerability and the difficulty of moving on from someone who continues to haunt their thoughts. Ultimately, it portrays the tension between desire and the painful realization that love can be both intoxicating and destructive.”
Additionally, In Her Own Words noted, “Since the middle of 2023, this new venture of the band has been an up-hill battle to say the least. From lineup changes, with some of our members closing this chapter of their lives to pursue their own goals and ambitions, to the life-changing moments the two of of us have been through, including some Mountain-high High’s and Center-of-the Earth Low’s, we DID it. First and foremost, we needed to prove to ourselves that we could get this done on our own and not give up when times are tough. Then we needed to prove to YOU all the same thing, and we f*ckin did it.”
