The internet’s viral emo pop prince, Huddy, has announced the release of his sophomore album, ‘Somebody To Hate,’ arriving September 18. Chase Hudson, under the moniker “Huddy“, is a pretty multifaceted Gen Z icon. From a rockstar to a fashion innovator to an actor, he is making his rounds through pop culture and leaving his mark on the younger generation. He is also an idobi Radio Summer School Tour alumnus! Following his debut effort, ‘Teenage Heartbreak‘, and a string of singles including the hit track, “All The Things I Hate About You,” the upcoming album promises to deliver Huddy at his most earnest.
Speaking on the upcoming album, Huddy shared, “‘Somebody To Hate’ is an album for everyone that wants to feel something real – a journey through storytelling of the things that I’ve felt or experienced as a young artist trying to make it in the alternative world. There’s struggle, confusion, hopelessness, grief, heartache, love, and empowerment. Against all odds, I kept persevering until I got to where I wanted to be. I felt like I was being labeled somebody that people wanted to hate, so I took that and turned it into a positive by taking ownership of the critiques everyone wanted to make about me.”
