Green Day Rarities Album On Tap For Summer?

An album of Green Day rarities is on tap for this summer, according to the band’s website. Calls placed by LAUNCH to the group’s publicist for confirmation were not returned at press time. The band is currently culling through its collection of rare and previously unreleased tracks.

Those likely to make the cut include a cover of the Ramones’ “Outsider” and a cover of the Kinks’ “Tired Of Waiting For You.” Other tunes being contemplated for the still-untitled release include “Sick,” “Rotting,” “Stuck With Me,” “On The Wagon Again,” and “Suffocate.”

If it is released, the rarities album will follow the greatest-hits package International Superhits!, which was released in November 2001.

Green Day is set to embark on the Pop Disaster tour with Blink-182 and opening band Jimmy Eat World. The tour kicks off April 17 in Bakersfield, California.
