Good knight Sir George. George Harrison may soon join the ranks of the round table alongside fellow Beatle Paul McCartney, Elton John and Cliff Richard.
According to reports out of England, Harrison will be included on The Queen’s Birthday list next June. Her New Year’s list was compiled prior to Harrison’s death on November 29, but New of the World says the Queen has decided to award George a knighthood posthumously at her next handout midyear.
This will be the first time an honour of this kind has been awarded posthumously.
Harrison already had the MBE awarded to him in 1965 from Buckingham Palace.
