Evan & Jaron Call Hanukkah A 'Proud' Holiday

Evan & Jaron have taken time out from working on new songs to celebrate Hanukkah, which starts at sundown Sunday (December 9). Jaron calls it “a proud holiday,” and his “favorite of the year.”

The Lowenstein brothers said about last year’s celebration. “I’ll tell ya, last year we were on the Tonight Show(with) Jay Leno…,” Jaron recalled.

Jaron continued, “It was really cool. We had, like, 35 people in that room because we travel with a huge posse and our boys have all got to be there. So, we did that and it was great.”

So what kind of gifts did they give each other this year? Jaron ‘fesses up about his gift to Evan, saying, “Yeah, I gave him ‘Crazy For This Girl.'”

Last month, Evan & Jaron released a revamped version of their self-titled Columbia Records debut album from 2000. The new package features a live take of the hit “Crazy For This Girl” and a re-recorded version of “The Distance,” which is the duo’s latest single.
