Pink Floyd release their much anticipated retrospective album “Echoes – The Best Of Pink Floyd” in November, through Capitol Records in the U.S. and EMI in the rest of the world.
Newly remastered and assembled by long time Pink Floyd producer and engineer James Guthrie, “Echoes – The Best Of Pink Floyd” is available as a 2-CD double pack, on vinyl and cassette. Featuring more than 2 hours and 20 minutes of the greatest Pink Floyd tracks ever recorded, and mixed together as one piece of continuous music, “Echoes – The Best Of Pink Floyd” represents the definitive Floyd collection for fans old and new. “Echoes” was made with the active participation of David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright.
The tracklisting, which will not be announced until nearer the release date, will include favorites such as “See Emily Play,” “Money,” “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Comfortably Numb,” “One Of These Days” and “Arnold Layne.” It will feature a track previously unavailable on CD. The artwork is a unique interpretation of Floyd covers over the years, and was conceptualized, art directed and shot by long time Floyd collaborator Storm Thorgerson.
