During his run of shows through Australia, Djo (aka Joe Keery) stopped by the triple j studio to perform his Like A Version song. Now, this radio station project has yielded some pretty iconic live song covers, inlcuding Royel Otis’ cover of “Murder On The Dancefloor” originally by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Poppy‘s cover of “Taste” by Sabrina Carpenter. Now, a dazzling new cover of HAIM’s “Gasoline” just dropped from Djo.

In an interview, Djo shared, “I think they’re such great artists. I love that they’re sisters, and they make music together. I’ve got a big family and my song that we played, ‘Basic Being Basic,’ my sisters are singing on that. So I thought it would be sort of cool to pay homage to [HAIM] for that reason.”

Check out his cover below.

Djo also played his new track “Basic Being Basic,” which is part of his forthcoming album The Crux, due out on April 4.

Djo just wrapped his dates in Australia, but he is gearing up to trek across North America, the UK, and Europe this spring in summer. Check out his tour route below and grab your tickets here.
