Following the release of his dynamic and soulful singles “highway robbery,” “june,” and “biological,” DE’WAYNE is back with his vulnerable new track, “sundays.” All songs are set to appear on his upcoming new album, june, set for release on July 30 via Fearless Records.
Just in time for Father’s Day, DE’WAYNE navigates the nuances of the father-son relationship. He notes, “When I wrote this song, I wanted to explain the complicated bond between a father and son. One where love and pain, admiration, and resentment all live side by side.”
He adds, “It’s about seeing your father as both a hero and a human, flawed and real. In the end, it’s my way of saying; ‘Thank you, Dad—for the good and the bad. You helped make me who I am.'”
