Celine Dion’s hour-long television special, Celine Dion: A New Day Has Come, will air on CBS at 8 p.m. ET April 7, and on Canada’s CBC and worldwide in the weeks following. The special taped on Sunday (March 3) at Hollywood’s new Kodak Theatre with special guests Destiny’s Child, and Brian McKnight.
Dion performed some of her biggest hits, including a movie medley comprising “Because You Loved Me,” “Beauty And The Beast,” and “My Heart Will Go On,” with some help from McKnight. Dion also performed songs from her new album, A New Day Has Come, which is due out March 26 in North America.
“I’ve got some butterflies going on, but I’m so excited to be back on stage,” Dion told a packed Kodak Theatre during her first headlining concert performance since taking a break to start a family nearly two years ago. Dion and Destiny’s Child performed a cover of the Bee Gees’s “Emotion,” which is featured on Destiny’s Survivor album. In turn, the Texas trio joined Dion for the song “When The Wrong One Loves You Right,” which appears on Dion’s new album.
