Alice Cooper will release his new album, Dragontown, on October 9th. The album is the final volume in a trilogy that Cooper began in 1994 with The Last Temptation and continued last year with Brutal Planet.
Dragontown was produced, arranged and mixed by Bob Marlette, who also produced Brutal Planet. Bob Ezrin, who worked previously on some of Cooper’s best-known songs, including “School’s Out,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and “I’m Eighteen,” served as the album’s executive producer.
As with Brutal Planet, Cooper will again hit the road to support the release. He plans to launch the Dragontown Tour in late September, with his guillotine in tow. Beginning August 21st, fans can download “Triggerman,” a track from the new album, at his label’s Web site, www.SpitfireRecords.com.
