It’s probably safe to assume that Joe Satriani won’t be serving as Coldplay’s opening act when the band launches a North American tour this summer.
On the eve of potentially racking up seven more Grammy awards, Coldplay has announced plans to hit the road in support of their latest opus, Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends, for yet another leg of their already lengthy world tour–the boys depart for Japan and Australia immediately after their awards show pit stop.
So far just 14 summer dates have been unveiled, with the promise of additional gigs to come.
The tour will kick off July 10 in Portland, Ore., and, as it stands, wrap up Aug. 9 in Tampa. Tickets for all shows go on sale Feb. 14.
