Britney Spears is thinking of packing up and moving to Britain.
“I went to London last week and it’s so cool there,” the pop singer told Britain’s ITV television in an interview broadcast Monday. “I’m thinking of moving there. It’s really beautiful. I love it there.”
Spears, 21, is promoting her latest single, “Me Against the Music,” which features vocals from Madonna.
She also had advice for wannabe stars participating in the TV talent show “Pop Idol,” counterpart of the U.S. show “American Idol.”
Both feature music-industry judge Simon Cowell’s often withering assessments of the hopefuls’ singing abilities.
“I would take his advice and whatever he said and tell him to shove it,” she said.
Spears, who got her start as a 10-year-old on TV talent show “Star Search,” said she was a fan of the “Pop Idol” format, in which hopefuls compete to impress industry figures and viewers in pursuit of a recording contract.
“I think it’s a cool thing, I think it’s inspiring for kids,” she said. “I think people watch that and it gives them hope. You see these kids, they’re hungry and they’re inspired and motivated.”
