Coming off a massive fall tour and When We Were Young Fest stint, Boys Like Girls have issued the official music video for their Disney cover of “You’ll Be In My Heart.” The track dropped on September 6 alongside the Mouse House’s full compilation, A Whole New Sound. The track, which originally appeared in the 1999 Tarzan film, was written and performed by Phil Collins.
Teasing the video release, the band shared on their social media platforms, “big meeting in the house of mouse on monday. don’t be late.”
Then today, Disney Music collaborated with the band, sharing, “Stepping into the jungle with @boyslikegirls! Watch their new video for their reimagined version of “You’ll Be In My Heart” from ‘A Whole New Sound’!”
Unlike most of the other tracks on the album, “You’ll Be In My Heart” stands out as a rock-infused love letter at its core. Boys Like Girls reimagine the song, preserving the heartfelt balladry of Collins while adding their own edge. Check out the video for “You’ll Be In My Heart” below.
