Less than a week ago, Boys Like Girls took to social media to report that they would be hopping on the When We Were Young Festival 2024 roster. The band will be filling in for The All-American Rejects who dropped off the fest earlier in the month due to a “management change within the WWWY operation.” Fittingly, they walked on stage to AAR’s “Dirty Little Secret.”
Opening with “Love Drunk,” they are playing their iconic hits such as “The Great Escape” and “Heels Over Head.” In an Instagram statement, Boys Like Girls shared, “It’s our greatest honor to play any stage at any time. We love this band, we love this scene, we love this festival. See you at WWWY at 8:20pm right after the legendary @jimmyeatworld play one of our favorite records front to back and before the headliners take the stage. We’ll be there with bells on.”
