Mary J. Blige is bringing in the dollars as part of her current concert swing. The R&B star’s appearance at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles is among the top grossing concerts as compiled by Amusement Business. The show, which was opened by Avant, took in close to $520,000, good for 10th on the list.
Blige is currently on a jaunt through Europe, performing in Denmark next week before dates in Germany, France and England, among others. She’s scheduled to return to the United States for a show July 5 at the Superdome in New Orleans.
Her latest album, “No More Drama (2002),” is No. 14 on the Billboard album chart.
Meanwhile, the ‘N Sync concert tour was responsible for five of the top 10 entries on the list. Ginuwine was the opening act for the boy band, which was nominated for a Soul Train Music Award this year.
‘N Sync is currently performing in the Midwest and is scheduled to hit the East Coast in early April.
