Bad Religion are releasing a Christmas album, simply titled Christmas Songs, on October 29th. The album will feature such Christmas classics as “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “White Christmas,” an Andy Wallace mix of “American Jesus,” and much more. Bad Religion will be donating 20% of the profits from Christmas Songs to SNAP, Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. “This might be the most subversive album we’ve done,” said guitarist Brett Gurewitz in an official release from Bad Religion’s record label, Epitaph. “To me, what the album is indirectly stating is that this music, and thus the world, can be powerful and beautiful stripped of god and religion. These are just really good songs, and a historically non-religious band like Bad Religion can perform them with as much power and feeling as anyone.” You can pre-order Christmas Songs and various bundles here, and check out “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” by Bad Religion below.
