The Backstreet Boys will soon be heading into the studio to record a new album. Once members wrap up some individual projects, the award-winning group will reunite to record, with a fall release date in mind.
Howie Dorough told Billboard: “I’ve done a lot of writing in the past year. I’ve written about 12 songs individually and about 15 songs group-wise. I think we’ll get together again in March, after Kevin (Richardson) gets done with Chicago and Nick (Carter) gets done with his solo tour. I’m hoping to have the new album out at least by September, (but) I’d like it to be by the summer.”
The Backstreet Boys’ pending lawsuit to end their contract with Jive Records may not be a problem after all. “I think eventually it’s all going to work out,” said Dorough.
The group’s last album, Black & Blue, was released in 2000, selling more than five million copies.
