Avril Lavigne will celebrate the November 4 release of her first long-form concert DVD My World with a series of simultaneous screenings at AMC Theatres in 24 cities across the U.S.
The screenings will take place in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Boston, Houston, Detroit, Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, St. Louis, Baltimore, Tampa, Denver, Cleveland, San Francisco, Indianapolis, Orlando and Kansas City. That day, Avril will attend a red carpet affair at the AMC Empire 25 Theatres on 42nd Street in New York City, and she will personally introduce the film.
The My World DVD centers around the 68-minute concert performance that marked the end of Avril’s sold-out 2003 Try To Shut Me Up Tour of North America in Buffalo, New York last May. The concert consisted of tracks from her six-times platinum debut album Let Go.
The interactive DVD also includes “Avril’s Cut,” a 45-minute behind the scenes glimpse of previously unseen footage, outtakes, a photo gallery, and all of Avril’s video clips including “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” “I’m With You,” “Losing Grip,” and her cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”
The package will also include a bonus audio CD of six tracks, five of which were recorded live at The Point in Dublin on March 23.
Here’s the track listing for the bonus audio CD: “Fuel” (a Metallica cover), “Basket Case” (a Green Day cover), “Unwanted,” “Sk8er Boi,” “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door,” and “Why” (previously unreleased in the U.S., but was the B-side of a U.K. single).
