Anthony Mackie Has Already Worn His Captain America Suit

Anthony Mackie revealed over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con that he’s already tried on his Captain America suit. Filming for the Disney+ limited six-part series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier begins October 2019 so the costume department had a fitting for the suit Mackie will wear in the show. Derek Kolstad, creator of John Wick, and Malcolm Spellman, most well known for his work on Empire, are writing the show which is slated for release in the fall of 2020. The cast includes Sebastian Stan continuing in the title role as The Winter Soldier, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo, and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter. Kari Skogland will be directing the series that picks up right where Avengers: Endgame left off. You won’t be able to miss Steve Rogers too much with Sam Wilson as Captain America. He’s a different character entirely but he was handed that shield for a reason.
