Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides has been busy this year. From new releases, to livestreams, to DC Comics, to the big screen, does this guy ever take a break? Let’s see what he and the band have been up to.
Today the BVB frontman announced the first official trailer of his upcoming film, Paradise City, a series spinoff of his 2017 film, American Satan. The film’s IMDb teases, “The lives of a rock star who seems to have it all and a young rookie kid who idolizes him collide through their broken homes built by the music business.” The 8 episode series will be available to watch on Amazon Prime on March 21, 2021. You’re definitely going to want to see this trailer.
Turns out, Johnny Faust isn’t Biersack’s only fictional character this year. He is also starring in a DC Comics’ YouTube series called Dark Nights: Death Metal: Sonic Metalverse. The fourth episode of the series, titled “Shot in the Dark”, premiered today on the official DC channel with Biersack playing the role of Batman. The show features an incredible cast, including: Brann Dailor (Mastodon), John Famiglietti (HEALTH), Jacob Duzsik (HEALTH), Greg Capullo, Chelsea Wolfe, Henri Cash (Starcrawler), Dave Lombardo (Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies), and David Hasselhoff because…of course David Hasselhoff is in there. Don’t worry, they’re not done just yet. Tomorrow is the big day for the Black Veil Brides’ Global Streaming Event: Alive and Burning 2. It’s slated to be a greatest hits show with lots of VIP opportunities. VIP tickets include things like a signed poster, an aftershow, and a virtual meet and greet. There are still tickets left so be sure to grab yours here. Tomorrow’s show will be streaming at 7pm PST / EST / UK / AUS time zones. There will also be limited on demand streamings between December 12th and December 14th.
And of course, in case you missed it, their latest single, “Scarlet Cross” came out last month with a super fiery music video. The track is off their forthcoming album, Phantom Tomorrow, slated to come out next year. The video has pyrotechnics, priest collars, and a woman being cornered by some scary ass dudes with a meat cleaver. What else could you possibly want in a music video? It ends with a tease to the album’s story, saying, “Will this watchful protector in the shadows deliver justice to the forces of evil? Find out next time in another thrilling adventure of…The Phantom Tomorrow.” We just hope that the woman is ok! Relive the “Scarlet Cross” magic down below!
