Everything old is new again and we’re here for it. It’s been 13 years since Kevin Smith added to the View Askewniverse but it looks like the newest addition to the volumes of hilarity will be not only funny but touching as well. The Jay And Silent Bob Reboot movie follows the oddball hetero-life-mates as they meet Jay’s love child, played by Smith’s daughter Harley Quinn Smith, and travel to Hollywood to stop the making of the ‘Bluntman and Chronic’ reboot. The film is dripping in cameos by the stars like Ben Affleck and Matt Damon who were there at the beginning of Smith’s super amazing fanboy career as well as the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Joe Manganiello, Justin Long, James Van Der Beek, Craig Robinson, Fred Armisen, Tommy Chong, Mellisa Benoist, and more –yes, MORE. Smith told Reelblend that he and Ben Affleck rekindled their friendship as the movie filmed when he texted Affleck in hopes he might possibly join the production. Getting together the star-studded cast and resurrecting old characters in a new era might mean a whole new generation gets to experience the joy of the View Askewniverse. We’re hoping it’s as good as the trailer and we’re looking forward to October 15 when Jay and Silent Bob Reboot lands in theaters.
