AFI and Thirty Seconds To Mars to tour with Linkin Park

Linkin Park announced at a press conference this morning in Los Angeles that they will be touring with AFI and Thirty Seconds To Mars this summer on the Carnivores Tour. Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda said during the press conference that all three bands share a lot of fans. “When I listen to the radio,” Shinoda said, “I don’t hear a lot of that visceral guitar rock right now. I feel like this is a great moment for these bands to come together and hit the road.”

Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman (and Oscar winner) Jared Leto also shared similar feelings, stating that, “To stand on a stage in front of the Linkin Park army and the Mars army…it’s going to be an incredible adventure.”

Last month, Shinoda took to his blog for a studio update. “As most Linkin Park fans know, the sound of each album is usually quite different from the last.   The new album is no exception.   But as usual, the album’s sound twists and turns as it is created, so any attempt at estimating what it sounds like today would be silly,” he said in a blog posted February 3rd. Shinoda also teased that the band’s latest album is due out sometime this summer.

Tickets for the Carnivores Tour go on sale this Friday (March 7th). Check out the video teaser and full list of dates below!
