Set It Off announce new album ‘Duality’

Set It Off

Set It Off have announced their sophomore  album, to be titled  Duality.  The record will be released October 14th with Equal Vision Records.

Vocalist Cody Carson describes the concept of the album:

“I’ve always been borderline obsessed with the notion of duality. Something about the juxtaposition of two polar opposites seems so vulnerable and blatantly human to me. Everyone has two sides, the side they let people see and the side they hide. In this record I decided to bare exactly who I am and what I go through in my day to day life. Love, heartbreak, sex, alcohol, happiness, sadness, anger, the human experience. I want you to hear this record and experience every human emotion you’re capable of feeling.”

The concept of the album will be an interesting one for the band to explore. Set It Off’s debut full length  Cinematics began to touch on the idea of duality, especially musically, with its expert combination of sinister melodies and poppy choruses backed by theatrical strings and dramatic vocals. With that idea in mind, it will be unlikely that Set It Off will disappoint on their second record.

The band is currently on a co-headlining tour with Our Last Night, but will be supporting Black Veil Brides and Falling In Reverse on the Black Mass Tour this fall. Check out the album track list, art, and the upcoming tour dates below!
