“I just want you back, because together we belong.”

Get to your closest tattoo parlor and grab your finest pomade, because it’s time to dive into the golden age of punk music. Lost In Society have crafted Modern Illusions, a collection of tracks that are lean, mean, and totally reminiscent of safety pin earrings and hair spikes the height of your youngest sibling.

From opening track “Awake”, you’re tossed into an aggressive punk rock vibe that Warped Tour was made for, alongside grated vocals that bring to mind The Gaslight Anthem. Tracks like “Plastic” and “Let Me Out”  follow suit, meanwhile “I Want To Know” boasts a catchier chorus than you’re expecting.

“Come Outside” is a bonfire in a rough part of town on a Friday night, complete with loud exhaust and homemade tank tops declaring a love for Def Leppard. It’s all the rebellion energy you can handle, mixed with a chorus that’ll swirl around your head for months. “Don’t Hesitate” rounds out the collection with more melody than you’ve heard thus far, and could fit in well with the 2000’s rock crowd.

Modern Illusions is a collection that’ll provide the perfect background music for your day to day operations.

Buy It, Stream It, Skip It: Stream It. You don’t have to think too hard to listen to any of the eleven songs, but they’ll give you an extra boost of energy to go forth and conquer the world.
